Introduced by the Financial Security Act No. 2003-706 of 1 August 2003, the status of Financial Investment Advisor (Conseiller en Investissements Financiers or CIF in French) aims to enhance investor protection through high standards of control in the marketing of financial products.

The Founder

Franck Magne, founder and president of EAVEST.

After starting his career at JP Morgan on the trading floor and in the private banking departments in Paris and Geneva, he quickly established himself as an expert in the research and design of structured and alternative products across all asset classes within Exane and Natixis.

His experience led him to set up the structured products team covering the private banks and family offices in France, Monaco, Luxembourg and Switzerland in the bank led by François Perol. In 2004 he joined Credit Suisse as Head of the structured products team for the private banking and family offices in France, Monaco and Luxembourg.

Convinced that he could build a unique and independent approach in the monitoring and analysis of structured and alternative products, he created EAVEST as a unique consulting firm focusing on product performance and its clients.
